Some LOve stories don’t fade. They keep playing. 1950s, a young couple arrives in Britain as part of the Windrush Generation. Adrift in an unknown world, they have little to their name except the love they share. Accomplished movement storyteller Jade Hackett’s new dance theatre production, The LOve Book, traces the couple’s relationship over four decades. King of UK neo-soul Omar Lyefook (There’s Nothing Like This) provides the soundtrack, using iconic songs from his back catalogue and most recent studio album. Told through hip hop and lyrical dance, the story unfolds in soulful movement, smooth rhythm and sweet memory.
