The majority of their ever-changing stock is donated to them by The Felix Project and FareShare, vendors at Borough Market and other local businesses. The task Each volunteering experience with BFC is different. There are roles for those who want to be hands-on with food and roles for those who want to deliver their service off-site to their more vulnerable or isolated customers (usually on Fridays). Shop Stock Volunteer Tasks include: unloading deliveries creating mixed trays of food quality control: checking and grading fresh food visual merchandising the shop floor in compliance with our shop policy cleaning tasks *Due to the nature of our operation, current roles all require standing, walking, and lifting. Volunteers are the heartbeat of the BFC, and they couldn’t do what they do without the support from amazing people like you! What else do I need to know?
