Bexley parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning in Danson Park. It's run completely by volunteers and you'll be made to feel most welcome at this lovely friendly event. There are plenty of volunteering roles to choose from including marshals, barcode scanners, finish token giver-outers and tail walkers. You'll get a parkrun volunteer credit AND a GoodGym good deed after you've attended! If you don't want to miss out on the actual run or walk, there are some roles you can do before or after. 📍 When and where Meet at 8.30am on the south side of the lake in Danson Park, What3Words location: ///cling.perky.empire. Your contact is the Run Director, wearing a blue and white hi-vis jacket. 🙋♀️🙋♂️How to volunteer It looks a bit complicated at first but please don't be put off, it's not tricky 😊. If you don't already have a parkrun ID register for free at Check which volunteering roles still need filling here: Click on the role you're interested in to find out what's involved. Even if the roster is full the organisers are often happy to have extra helpers so get in touch with them anyway. Send an email to bexley@parkrun.com using the template below to tell them the date and role that you want to volunteer for. The parkrun volunteer coordinator will reply to confirm that they have added you to the roster. Sign up on this listing - job done!
