Sign up to join the Lambeth Community on the legendary Tuesday Group Run 😊 Slade Gardens is a medium-sized open space located between Brixton and Stockwell with facilities for all ages. Slade Gardens is named after the Slade family who originally owned land in the area, but it was then built over for housing by the 1870s. After the Second World War it was acquired by London County Council and then laid out and opened as Slade Gardens in 1958. Jobs include: 🍂Sifting through and turning compost 🌳Cutting back bushes and tidying around the borders 🌱Weeding obvs 😏Bottletop wranglin' Please bring gardening gloves if you have them otherwise they will be provided! 🧤 Meet at the Crown and Anchor entrance, off Brixton Road.
