Northern Lights Newcastle returns to Leazes Park this winter with a brand-new theme, A Christmas Time Machine. Step into a spectacular illuminated journey inspired by the toys, traditions and memories of Christmases past. Across 14 never-before-seen installations, visitors will encounter a giant rainbow Slinky tumbling through the trees, 65 glowing Rubik’s Cubes suspended overhead and molten lava-lamp colours transforming Leazes Park’s historic bandstand. March alongside giant nutcrackers, step inside a kaleidoscope and rediscover the excitement of THAT Christmas catalogue through drawings created by young patients from the Great North Children’s Hospital. At Disco Wonderland, light, music and movement will invite visitors of every generation to stop and dance. The mile-long trail also features festive favourites including The Night Before Christmas, Candy Cane Crossing and the North Pole’s bustling parcel post. Complete the evening in the Christmas Village, with festive food and drinks, marshmallow toasting, glowing fire pits and vintage fairground rides.
